I'm Nathanael DeGeorge, owner and a cabinetmaker at Hilsinger Woodworking and Design, a custom cabinetmaking and woodworking shop located high on the Tug Hill Plateau in northern New York.
Hilsinger Woodworking and Design gets its name from my childhood home in Carlisle, NY. The house was built in the 1920's by its original owner, a carpenter named Hiller Hilsinger. He left many old woodworking tools behind, and working with these tools as a young boy sparked my enduring interest in woodworking.
At the age of 19 I attended and completed the New England School of Architectural Woodworking in Easthampton, Massachusetts and worked as a cabinetmaker in southern Maine, and north New York, before opening my own woodworking business.
